Original WWII U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships Model RCX Panoramic Radio Adaptor manufactured by Panoramic Radio Corporation, New York. Accepted by the Navy in March 1944 and designed to provide a visual CRT display of radio frequency activity across a selected spectrum range. Features original data plate, green CRT display with kilocycle scale, sweep controls, gain adjustment, focus controls, and wartime black wrinkle finish. A scarce early spectrum-analysis instrument used in advanced naval radio, radar, and signals intelligence applications during World War II.
