WWII Signal Corps Wavemeter TS-117/GP Test Set – Sperry Gyroscope Co. – Complete in Transit Case

Original WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps Wavemeter TS-117/GP test instrument manufactured by Sperry Gyroscope Company. This portable frequency measurement and calibration device was used by Signal Corps technicians to test, align, and verify radio and communications equipment in the field.

The instrument remains housed in its original military transit case and retains its original accessories, cables, connectors, probe assembly, and internal test components. The front panel features a sensitive microampere meter, frequency counter window, and sensitivity adjustment control, all designed for precision radio frequency measurement and calibration work.

The identification plates are marked:

  • Signal Corps, U.S. Army
  • Wavemeter TS-117/GP
  • Sperry Gyroscope Co., Inc.
  • Original serial numbered components

Wavemeters such as the TS-117/GP were critical pieces of field test equipment during World War II, allowing military technicians to accurately measure transmitter frequencies and maintain communications systems. Complete examples with their original storage case and accessories are considerably more desirable than loose instruments.
