WWII U.S. Army Air Force’s Pocket Compass- Longines-Wittnauer -1941 Complete w/ Box & Pouch -Unissued

Original WWII U.S. Army Air Force’s pocket compass. This Compass Assembly, Pocket Type, supplied under the order W535-AC-27707, a known QWWII Air Force’s procurement contract. These compasses were issued to aircrew and ground personnel for navigation and survival use. This compass was unissued. 

The compass features: 

Matte silver-toned metal case

Clear directional dial with cardinal and degree markings

Black magnetic needle

Top Suspension ring

Read case stamped “U.S.” 

Compass is in very good vintage condition. UNISSUED. Dial is clear and legible. Needle is present and intact. Light surface wear consistent with age. Original cloth pouch, has light wear from age. Box is WWII-era box with visible aging, edge wear, and discoloration, but fully intact and readable. Not a reproduction.
