WWII U.S. Army Air Forces K-8 Gun Sight Power Unit – Fairchild Aviation Aircraft Fire Control Component

Original WWII-era K-8 Gun Sight Power Unit manufactured by Fairchild Aviation Corporation, New York, N.Y. for the U.S. Army Air Forces. Data plate identifies the unit as a power supply for the K-8 aircraft gun sight system. Features lateral and vertical sensitivity controls, balance adjustments, test functions, pre-flight check instructions, and original military warning labels. These units were used in conjunction with aircraft gunsight and fire-control equipment installed in U.S. fighter and attack aircraft during World War II. A scarce and historically significant aviation electronics component with strong appeal to collectors of military aircraft instrumentation and gun sight equipment.
