WWII U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal w/ Ribbon, Bar, & Lapel Pin
Original U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal grouping, likely dating from the World War II era, complete with the medal, matching service ribbon bar, miniature lapel button, and period presentation/storage box.
The bronze medal features the American eagle perched upon a sword and book with the inscription “Efficiency – Honor – Fidelity.” The reverse of the medal normally bears the five-pointed star and scroll intended for the recipient’s name, surrounded by the words “For Good Conduct.” The distinctive red-and-white striped suspension ribbon is present and displays nicely.
Also included are the matching Good Conduct ribbon bar and the small enamel lapel button, making this a much more complete grouping than the medal alone. The original-style blue/gray cardboard presentation box shows considerable age and edge wear but adds significantly to the display and period character of the set.
Overall, the medal and insignia appear to be in good original condition with honest age and wear, while the box is more heavily worn as pictured. A nice complete WWII-era U.S. Army medal set suitable for a uniform display, shadow box, or military collection.
