Original WWII-era U.S. Army Signal Corps Control Box BC-690-A manufactured by RCA Manufacturing Co., Camden, New Jersey under 1942 contract markings.

This highly specialized aviation/radar control component features its original wrinkle-finish black paint, data plates, controls, and military connector ports. Marked:

• “CONTROL BOX BC-690-A”
• Serial No. 1160
• Order No. 1402-PHILA-42

Additional plate reads:

“This unit is compensated only for a 6 foot indicator cable.”

Front panel retains:

• Focus control
• Circle size adjustment
• Receiver gain
• A.V.C. toggle
• Power switch
• Original red indicator lamp

Rear and side connections remain intact and clearly labeled for indicator and junction box hookups. These units were used in conjunction with WWII aircraft or radar display systems and are desirable to advanced Signal Corps, aviation electronics, and radar collectors.

Condition is excellent original surplus with very clean data plates and strong cosmetics. Untested.
