WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps MD-16/TPS-3 High Voltage Radar Modulator – Zenith Radio Corp. – 1944

Original WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps MD-16/TPS-3 unit, manufactured by Zenith Radio Corp. Data plate shows Ord. No. 321-MPD-44, placing it in the 1944 wartime period. Marked “DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE” with original stenciling and operating instructions on lid. This appears to be a radar/electronics high-voltage modulator or related component for the TPS-3 radar system.

Large olive drab metal cabinet with original latch, hinged lid, internal high-voltage tube sockets/components, threaded connector, and original military finish. Great WWII radar display/restoration piece with strong visual appeal.

Condition: Original surplus condition with heavy paint wear, scratches, oxidation/rust along the lower edge, surface grime, and age/storage wear. Untested. Sold as collectible/display/restoration equipment only.
