WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps MX-94/APG-5 Servo Geared Motor Unit – Galvin Manufacturing (Motorola)
Original World War II U.S. Army Signal Corps MX-94/APG-5 Servo Geared Motor Unit manufactured by Galvin Manufacturing Corporation of Chicago, Illinois, the company that later became Motorola. Built under Order No. 2506-ARL-44, this precision 28/80 VDC geared servo motor was used in the APG-5 airborne radar system to drive and position radar components. The original data plate is intact and clearly marked, and the unit retains its original military connectors, wiring, and mounting hardware. A scarce and desirable component from one of WWII’s pioneering airborne radar systems, making it an excellent addition to any Signal Corps, Army Air Forces, or radar collection. Untested and offered as a historical collectible.
