Original WWII-era U.S. Army Signal Corps Dynamotor Unit PE-101-C, supplied by General Electric Company, Bridgeport, Conn. Data plate also identifies the dynamotor as Type 41S1, manufactured by Wincharger Corp., Sioux City, Iowa.
This unit was designed to convert low-voltage aircraft/vehicle DC power into higher output voltages for military radio/electronic equipment. Data plate lists 13/26V input, with 400V DC, 800V DC, and 9V AC output ratings. Heavy cylindrical black-finish body with gray electrical connector housing and original mounting base.
Condition is used military surplus with scratches, scuffs, finish wear, dust, and age/storage wear. Data plates are present and readable. Untested and sold as-is for restoration, display, parts, or military radio equipment collection.
