Original WWII-era U.S. Civil Defense Air Raid Warden insignia, used by members of the wartime Citizens Defense Corps.

The patch features the official Air Raid Warden emblem consisting of a red-and-white striped warning triangle set inside a blue circular field. During World War II, civilian Air Raid Wardens were an important part of the American home-front defense system. Wardens helped organize blackout precautions, reported bomb or air-raid damage, assisted civilians during alerts and emergencies, and helped coordinate local civil-defense activities.

This is a desirable fully embroidered cloth example with bold blue, red and white coloration. The reverse displays the original embroidery construction and backing.

Condition is very good for its age, showing minor edge wear, loose threads and normal storage/handling wear. Colors remain particularly strong. Please review photographs for exact condition.
