WWII U.S. M1 Garand Bayonet by PAL – 1942 Dated – With Scabbard
WWII U.S. M1 Garand Bayonet by PAL – 1942 Dated – With Scabbard
Original World War II U.S. M1 Garand bayonet manufactured by PAL and dated 1942. This classic early-war American fighting bayonet features the full-length blade with bright finish, black ribbed grips, and original crossguard and pommel configuration for the M1 Garand rifle.
The ricasso is clearly marked “PAL” above the U.S. flaming bomb acceptance mark and “1942.” Included is a U.S. marked olive drab fiberglass scabbard with metal throat. The bayonet presents very well overall with a clean appearance and strong markings.
This example appears to have either been arsenal refinished/postwar nickel plated or possibly prepared for ceremonial/parade use at some point in its life. The bright finish is attractive and gives the piece excellent display appeal while still retaining its WWII production markings and original profile.
A very displayable WWII U.S. bayonet from a desirable wartime maker.
