WWII U.S. Military APX-1 IFF Transponder Set – RT-24/APX-2, TN-8/APX-1 & CU-13/APX-1
Original WWII-era U.S. military aircraft IFF/radar transponder equipment set, featuring multiple APX/APX-1/APX-2 components mounted together. Visible marked components include RT-24/APX-2, TN-8/APX-1, and CU-13/APX-1, with original black wrinkle-finish cases, data plates, connectors, antenna coupling unit, adjustment controls, range selector, phone jack, and related fittings.
This type of equipment was part of wartime aircraft identification/radar recognition systems, commonly referred to as IFF, or “Identification Friend or Foe.” The set has excellent visual appeal with multiple original military radio/radar modules still assembled together, making it a strong display, restoration, or parts piece for WWII aircraft electronics, radar, aviation, and Signal Corps collectors.
Condition is original surplus, untested, and sold as-is. Shows age, dust, paint wear, oxidation to connectors, surface wear, and storage marks. Several components retain clear original markings and plates. Buyer should assume it may require restoration, calibration, or service before any use.
