WWII U.S. Military Radar CRT Display Unit with Amber Deflection Coil Assembly – Model I-501
Description:
Original World War II-era military radar display assembly featuring an integrated cathode ray tube (CRT) indicator unit with its distinctive amber-colored deflection coil assembly. This highly unusual electronic component was used in early radar and electronic detection systems, converting radar signals into a visual display for operators.
The unit retains its original wrinkle-finish housing, “FOCUS” and “INTENSITY” controls, indicator screen, military-style connector, and complete amber Bakelite-style coil assembly. Components of this type were critical to airborne and ground-based radar systems developed during WWII and the early Cold War period. The striking amber coil structure makes this a particularly attractive display piece and an excellent example of early military electronics engineering.
An outstanding collector piece for radar enthusiasts, Signal Corps collectors, museums, aviation historians, and military technology displays. Rarely encountered as a complete assembly with the display unit and coil structure still intact.
Condition:
Original surplus condition showing storage wear and age. Untested and sold as a historical collectible/display item.
