WWII U.S. Military Radar Waveguide Assembly with Directional Couplers – Original Inspection Tag

Original WWII-era U.S. military microwave radar waveguide assembly, consisting of a rectangular waveguide section with two directional-coupler/sample ports and heavy flanged connections at each end. Assemblies of this type were used in early radar systems to carry microwave energy between components and to permit measurement or monitoring of the transmitted signal.

The unit retains its gray military finish, chained protective caps, flange hardware and numerous period inspection/identification markings. Visible markings include “19.6 DB” on both coupler sections, X-66362E, and additional inspection markings. Most notably, an original technical inspection tag remains attached, with fields for physical dimensions, pressure, breakdown, V.S.W.R., coupling and selection. The tag bears a period inspection/selection stamp dated NOV 10 1945, placing the assembly directly in the immediate WWII/early postwar radar era.

A substantial and visually interesting example of early microwave radar technology. The surviving inspection tag, capped test ports and complete-looking waveguide structure make it particularly suitable for a WWII radar, Signal Corps, Navy electronics or early microwave technology collection.

Condition is very good for its age with scratches, paint loss, oxidation and normal storage wear. Untested and sold as a historical military electronics component.
