WWII U.S. Navy AS-17A/APS Radar Antenna Scanner Assembly
WWII U.S. Navy AS-17A/APS Radar Antenna Scanner Assembly
Original WWII-era U.S. Navy AS-17A/APS radar antenna/scanner assembly, complete with large parabolic dish, rear yoke frame, rotating drive base, electrical/motor housings, braided cabling, fittings, and clear front lens/dome element. The data tag is present and marked AS-17A/APS, 28 Volts DC, with Navy-style contract/serial markings.
This is a substantial and visually impressive aircraft/shipboard radar component from the WWII radar era. The assembly has excellent display presence, with the large dish, mechanical gearing, rotating base, and original wartime hardware still intact. Condition is as shown: original used military condition with age, dust, paint loss, oxidation, surface wear, and untested electrical/mechanical operation. A very hard-to-find piece for WWII radar collectors, aviation museums, Navy electronics displays, restoration projects, or film/prop use.
Shipping Note:
Due to the large size, weight, and fragile mechanical/radar components, this item is local pickup preferred. Shipping is available only by arrangement, with buyer responsible for actual freight/crating costs. Final freight cost will depend on destination, pallet/crating requirements, and carrier.
