WWII U.S. Navy C-15/APA-1 Radar Indicator Control Unit

Original WWII-era U.S. Navy C-15/APA-1 radar control unit, a component associated with the APA-1 family of early American radar equipment. The original identification plate is marked C-15/APA-1, contract/serial NXsa-43396, with additional marking 7072-CPR.

This compact electronic control assembly features period controls marked FOCUS, BRILL. (Brilliance), VERT. CENT. (Vertical Center) and a 5/50/100 selector. These controls were used to adjust the associated cathode-ray-tube radar display, including image focus, brightness and positioning. Large military electrical connections are located at either end of the housing.

The unit retains its original black wrinkle-finish metal case, identification plate, knobs and prominent red “WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE” plate. It is an excellent companion piece to an ID-15/APA-1 radar indicator and would make a strong addition to a WWII Navy radar, aviation electronics or early military technology collection.

Condition is good and largely complete externally, with expected scratches, finish loss, oxidation and storage wear. Untested and sold as a historical military electronics collectible.
