Original World War II U.S. Navy Bearing Control Unit Type CABM-23AEJ, manufactured for the Bureau of Ships and designed for use with SO, SO-3, and SJ-13 naval radar systems. Produced under Navy contract by Raytheon Manufacturing Company with internal Bendix Aviation Corporation amplifier components, this unit represents the sophisticated radar control technology used aboard U.S. Navy vessels during the war.

The unit retains its original Navy data plate, internal amplifier assembly, cloth-covered wiring harnesses, terminal blocks, and heavy-duty naval mounting enclosure. Components of this type were used to process and control radar bearing information, allowing operators to determine target direction and assist in navigation, detection, and combat operations.
