Original WWII-era U.S. Navy Model 15C Radar Operator Training Equipment, manufactured by Detrola Corporation of Detroit, Michigan for the Navy Department – Bureau of Aeronautics, Training Division, Special Devices Section.

Data plates show this as a Model 15C Radar Operator Training Equipment unit, accepted by the Navy in August 1943, contract date 1-26-43. The plate lists the equipment group as consisting of a rectifier power unit, pulse generator, and radar operator trainer. The lower plate identifies this specific unit as a Radar Operator Trainer, serial number 186, weighing approximately 46 lbs.

The front panel has multiple labeled radar training controls including Ship Amp, Convoy Amp, Land Amp, Sea Amp, tuning controls, range controls, azimuth switches, output connectors, and original knobs. This was likely used to simulate radar targets and train WWII Navy aviation/radar operators without needing an active radar set.

Condition shows honest WWII surplus wear with paint loss, scuffs, oxidation, dusty controls, and age patina. Data plates are excellent and highly displayable. Untested and sold as-is for display, restoration, parts, or collecting.

Excellent piece for a WWII Navy radar, aviation training, early electronics, or museum-style military technology display.
