Original WWII-era U.S. Navy ID-15/APA-1 radar indicator assembly, an impressive surviving component of early American military radar equipment. The original identification plate is clearly marked ID-15/APA-1 with Navy contract number NXsa-23209.

The unit features its original large green radar CRT viewing screen with calibrated range overlay marked in nautical miles. Multiple scales are provided, including a prominent 0–80/100-mile scale and a shorter 0–5 scale, allowing the operator to interpret radar returns at different ranges.

Unlike a loose indicator head, this example retains a substantial portion of its associated mounting assembly, electrical components, armored/braided cables and original wiring harness. The black wrinkle-finish cylindrical housing also retains its original red high-voltage warning plate. The exposed period wiring and heavy military construction make this an especially impressive display of WWII radar technology.

This appears closely related to the other ID-15/APA-1 equipment in the collection and represents the actual radar display portion viewed by the operator. The green screen, original data plate and extensive attached hardware give it considerably more visual appeal than an individual electronic component.

Condition is good for its age with expected finish wear, scratches, oxidation and storage wear. Some wiring is disconnected/cut and the equipment is untested. Sold as a historical military radar collectible.
