Original WWII U.S. Navy Type CRV-23256 Operator’s Control Box, a unit of the Model ARB aircraft radio equipment. Data plate shows Navy Department / Bureau of Ships, manufactured by RCA Manufacturing Co., Camden, New Jersey, contract dated Feb. 23, 1942.
Front panel is marked Receiver with controls for local/remote, homing, communication, AVC/MVC, CW/MCW, and sharp/broad reception. Has original multi-pin aircraft connectors and black wrinkle-finish case. Nice early-war aviation radio component for WWII Navy aircraft, aircraft radio, Signal Corps/Navy radio, or cockpit equipment collectors.
Condition shows normal service wear, oxidation on connectors, and age from storage. Untested and sold as a collectible/display or restoration part.
