Original WWII U.S. Navy Type CRV-46151 Aircraft Radio Receiver, part of the Model ARB aircraft radio equipment. Data plate shows Navy Department / Bureau of Ships, made by RCA Manufacturing Co., Camden, New Jersey, contract dated Feb. 23, 1942. Frequency range is marked 195 to 9050 KC, and weight is listed at 26.8 pounds.
This is the larger matching receiver unit that goes with the ARB aircraft radio system and pairs well with the CRV-23256 operator’s control box you showed earlier. Front panel includes tuning window, band/frequency control, accessory markings, motor drive power switch, fuse holders, control box connector, power plug, and aircraft-style fittings. Good WWII Navy aviation radio piece for aircraft, radio, radar, and military communications collectors.
