WWII U.S. Navy RT-15A/APS-15 Airborne Radar Transmitter with MD-4C/APS-2 Modulator
Original WWII-era airborne radar assembly consisting of the RT-15A/APS-15 transmitter and associated MD-4C/APS-2 modulator, designed for U.S. Navy and Army Air Forces radar applications. The unit retains its original black wrinkle finish, cooling fin assembly, military connectors, and internal radar components including magnetron-related hardware. Marked for 26 VDC and high-voltage operation, this is a substantial piece of wartime microwave radar technology from the same family of systems used in anti-submarine warfare, maritime patrol, and night-fighter aircraft.
The APS-series radar sets were among the most important airborne radar systems of World War II and are highly sought after by advanced radar, aviation, and military electronics collectors. The exposed interior reveals much of the original radar circuitry and microwave components, making it an outstanding display and research piece.
