The TBY-4 was one of the U.S. Navy’s first portable VHF field radios, designed for amphibious operations, beach landings, ship-to-shore communications, Marine Corps units, and other tactical applications during World War II. Manufactured by Colonial Radio Corporation under contract for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships, surviving original manuals are highly collectible.
