Original German Winter Relief Fund (Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes – WHW) tinnie badge from the 1934/35 fundraising campaign. This example features an eagle above an open book with the inscription “W.H.W. 34/35” and “Magdeburg” along the bottom, identifying it as a regional issue associated with the Magdeburg area. WHW badges were distributed in exchange for donations during annual winter relief drives and were intended to be worn publicly as symbols of participation.

Constructed of stamped metal with a bronze finish, the badge retains its original pinback attachment on the reverse. The design remains crisp with attractive age patina and honest wear consistent with age. Regional WHW badges have become a popular collecting field due to the wide variety of designs issued throughout Germany during the 1930s.

This example would make a solid addition to any WWII German militaria, political, or tinnie badge collection.

Condition: Good original condition with functional pinback and age-appropriate wear.
